Pexilizumab vs placebo in STEMI
Inclusion:
ECG with
1) >/= 2 mm ST elevation in 2 anterior or lateral leads
OR
2) >/= 2 mm ST elevation in 2 inferior leads with ST depression
In 2 contiguous anterial leads that totals >/= 8 mm ST deviation
OR
3) new LBBB with at least 1 mm ST elevation
Exclusion:
- thrombolytic therapy
- hereditary complement deficiency or neisserial infection
- serious active infection
- other investigational drug or device within prior 30 days
- pregnancy or breast feeding
- previously enrolled in trial
Actions:
- pt to sign consent
- study lab (packets in ER with consents and orders)
- orders to pharmacy and give bolus ASAP (preferred before balloon inflation-
Do not delay treatment for bolus!); infusion to follow when possible - post procedure ECG and ECG at discharge
- Notify coordinators that patient has enrolled
