Manish Thapar, M.D.

Clinical Instructor of Medicine

Clinical interests:

Dr Thapar’s clinical interests include taking care of patients with various forms of liver diseases like hepatitis B, hepatitis C and fatty liver. He is also interested in various genetic and inherited diseases of the liver. He has a special interest in taking care of patients with porphyria. 

Research interests:

Dr Thapar is interested in clinical and translational research. He is currently finishing a study of epigenetic mechanisms, specifically DNA methylation in chronic alcoholics.
