Charles Stephen Brooks, MD

He is dedicated to patient care and is one of the Fellows' favorite attendings. His bedside manner and easy rapport combined with his broad interests in Nephrology make him one of our most effective teachers.

Dr. Brooks has been with our Department since 1976. He also serves as a Staff Physician at Harry S. Truman Memorial VA where he served as the Chief of the Nephrology Section from 1992-94 and as Assistant Chief of Medical Services. He served as Residency Program Director of Internal Medicine from 1999-2006. His research interests include hypertension and kidney disease.
